    What's the benefit of using teardrops? Mechanical strength of the trace during fabrication?

    • @TechExplorations_
      @TechExplorations_ 2 месяца назад

      Yes! Teardrops in PCB design help strengthen the mechanical connection between traces and pads or vias. By widening the trace where it meets the pad, teardrops reduce the risk of cracking or separation during fabrication, especially when the board is subjected to stress, like drilling or milling. They also improve electrical reliability by ensuring smoother current flow at those junctions. Teardrops are a simple way to add robustness to a PCB without complicating the design.

    Hi! Thanks for this clear video. A question remains : Is it P2P (peer to peer) or you use a router? If you use a router do you have a tuto with peer to peer?

    • @ueiwqoak
      @ueiwqoak 2 года назад

      Bump. It seems like you need to use a router. I'm wondering ifyou could accomplish this with a network switch instead? Would love to get a video about these topics!

    • @guillaume8437
      @guillaume8437 2 года назад

      @@ueiwqoak actually, for peer to peer, a straight through cable is more than enough but the link is direct from PC to Arduino Ethernet module. With a router or a switch in the middle, I can't tell. Some of them have straight through/crossover detection capability if I am not wrong but the Networking and its secrets are just magic to me!

    • @ueiwqoak
      @ueiwqoak 2 года назад

      @@guillaume8437 Have you gotten either to work? I'm trying to figure out how to detect the IP address of my Ethernet shield. I've got the shield plugged into my router and am looking for my DHCP router to detect it and assign it a local IP address but no luck.

    Is it possible to make the Arduino remember the last known state of the Digital Output pins in the event of a power outage? Say you turned on LED's 1, 2, and 5, 6 using the Telnet commands, and then there is a power outage. For safety reasons it would be great if we could ensure that the Arduino will 'boot' with the last 'known' I/O pin states :)

    • @TechExplorations_
      @TechExplorations_ 4 года назад

      Hi R D, yes, it is. Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to use an EEPROM to store the pin state before you apply it. When the Arduino restarts, the first thing it would do is to read the states from the EEPROM and apply them to the pins.

      Yes, I think considering the cost- and benefits of these scopes, they are very good. Get the high-end ones (like the OSC482, still much cheaper than a full bench-top scope) that can be their own signal processing instead of passing that function to the computer.

    Hi thankyou for the vid, very well explained. I am considering to buy the lower cost labjack u3, so I was thinking if I measure 48Vdc, 12Vdc or 5Vdc with the ADC is there any danger if there is a short circuit at the side of the measurement? Do I need an additional short circuit circuit to make sure that the labjack does not get damaged? Also When i measure a AC voltage of 50khz is this possible... ofcourse i want to sample 10 times more then 50khz (nyquist[2timeshigest freq]) , is this possible... Thankyou
